Founded in 1992 with the opening of a store at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Óptica Universitaria has a team of more than 1,600 professionals and over 110 optical centres across Spain, including its online sales channel. The company is currently part of the German multinational Fielmann Group, which acquired it in late 2020.
